Plants That Repel Mosquitos
There are a lot of natural plants that repel mosquitos. The thing to know is that many of the mosquito repellent plants won't work unless they release into the air by being cut or crushed.
One of the best plants to use is called Lemon Thai Grass. You can cut grow a tuft of grass and then just cut it down right before going outside. It will work really well.
Catnip is known to be 10 times more effective than Deet. In fact, catnip is now trying to be patented for mosquito repellent.
Marigolds and chrysanthemums are also hated by mosquitos. They do not have to be cut because they create their own natural odors that repel mosquitos.
Finally, don't forget some citronella grass. This is where the real citronella comes from that is used in a lot of mosquito products.
