Mosquito Control
Mosquito control has many facets. The first thing is to eliminate standing water. Mosquitos lay aggs and when the rains come it hatches the eggs. If there are places that water collect, whey should be removed and washed out to eliminate mosquito eggs.
Cities will also use pesticide spray programs during mosquito season to help keep the population down. Cities near rivers and lakes will have a stronger need to keep mosquito populations down.
In your yard, you can bring in products to attract the mosquitos. That way they will be more likely to leave you alone. People like to use as many products as possible. The reason is that you don't want to have to spray Deet on you every time you want to enjoy the backyard. There are traps that have attractants in them and citronella candles to help attract the mosquitos.
If it gets really bad, you can put a mosquito net over the patio or your patio umbrella.
